Steve Grainger
Biography

Biography

Steve has recorded and toured the world with major recording artists from the 80’s onwards, including The Beach Boys, Culture Club, Deniece Williams, Jimmy Witherspoon, Errol Brown and contemporary British rapper Lola Coca. He has also appeared live with artists such as Elton John, George Michael, and Alvin Stardust. His worldwide gigging experience ranges from New York’s Madison Square Gardens to London’s Ronnie Scott’s.

Steve played the sax solos on hits that still get airplay, such as Culture Club’s Time, Clock of the Heart, Church of the Poisoned Mind, and It’s a Miracle (amongst others).

A devoted fan of jazz legend Paul Desmond, Steve now concentrates on playing alto sax on classic and modern standards.
